Elo-Kin legal
Cookies and Local Storage Notice
1. What Elo-Kin uses
Elo-Kin uses strictly necessary HTTP cookies, local storage, session storage, IndexedDB, and service-worker caches. These technologies keep a user signed in, protect sessions, remember settings, support offline use, queue unsynchronized changes, preserve recovery data, install the web app, and load required files efficiently.
| Technology | Purpose | Control |
|---|---|---|
| Secure session cookies | Authentication, session refresh, request protection, and selected profile security | Cleared by sign-out or browser controls; blocking them prevents cloud sign-in |
| Local and session storage | Preferences, temporary UI state, versioned acknowledgments, device/session coordination | Clear site data in the browser; some settings will reset |
| IndexedDB | Offline journals, pending operations, recovery snapshots, and durable local work | Use Elo-Kin clear/recovery controls or clear browser site data |
| Service-worker cache | Offline app shell and faster loading | Removed when site data is cleared; old Elo-Kin caches are replaced on activation |
| Push subscription | Delivery of notifications the user enables | Disable notifications in Elo-Kin and browser or device settings |
2. No advertising cookies
Elo-Kin does not currently use advertising cookies, cross-site behavioral trackers, or third-party analytics tags. If that changes, this Notice and the Privacy Policy will be updated and legally required choices will be provided first.
3. Shared devices and offline copies
Local data can remain on a device after closing a browser. On a shared device, sign out, use the in-app local-cache controls where available, and clear the browser’s Elo-Kin site data. Clearing local data before pending changes synchronize can permanently remove those changes; review the recovery screen or export first.
4. Browser signals
Because Elo-Kin does not sell or share information for targeted advertising, a Global Privacy Control signal does not change an advertising practice. We will honor legally applicable browser signals if the Service later engages in a covered practice.
