AI is off everywhere except optional Quick Capture.
When you enable Quick Capture AI, it sends only the text you deliberately submit and the minimal context needed to organize it. Journals, logs, household history, and unrelated account content are not scanned or sent.

AI Quick Capture
AI is optional and deliberate. Elo-Kin uses it only for Quick Capture when enabled and schedule imports an Adult explicitly submits.
Import a schedule or curriculum
Bring in a school calendar, curriculum plan, sports schedule, or other family schedule without typing every item.
You stay in control. Your upload is used to prepare this import. Nothing is added until you review and approve it. Elo-Kin does not save the original upload as household content. Structured CSV and ICS files are read on this device. PDF, image, and pasted-text AI imports are sent to OpenAI temporarily; OpenAI does not train on API content by default, but standard abuse-monitoring retention may be up to 30 days unless Zero Data Retention is enabled.

Installation applies to the device and browser. Approving a child lets that profile use Elo-Kin’s install button on a device where Elo-Kin is not already installed.

Journals and logs
Older journals and logs are moved to your Archive instead of being deleted. This keeps everyday screens faster and easier to browse while preserving your family’s memories.
Completed tasks
Archiving completed tasks keeps everyday lists responsive while preserving task history. Permanently deleting them saves more storage but cannot be undone.
Storage Optimization
Elo-Kin already uses smaller previews and efficient loading to keep archived media responsive and backups manageable. Additional space-saving options will appear here only when they can preserve recoverability.
Why archive?
Archiving keeps active lists clean and helps Elo-Kin stay fast as your family creates more memories. Archived journals and logs are never automatically deleted and can be restored at any time.
